Stiffening of the EU directive on the deposit tax

The European commission has the plan to stiffen the tax directive dedicated to fight with tax evasion. According to it the banks undertake to take taxes from the source of payment or to pass this information to the tax bodies of the state of the citizenship.

Germany is interested in revision of directive. The economy of state suffered because German taxpayers moved their funds to the accounts in Liechtenstein.

The DAM to the directive has to be approved by all the EU member states.
